web directive A command used to generate content for a web page. The web page contains the directive. In some situations, a web directive can be a parameter used by a command. The web server executes the command when a user views the web page. For example, a command embedded in a uniform resource locator (URL) can be passed by Information Console to BIRT iHub System.
