Creating a chart The data for a chart comes from the data in a table. You must create the table before you create a chart. Users typically design reports using this sequence. To display only a chart in your report, hide the table after you create the chart. When you create a chart, you perform the following tasks: 1 Insert a chart. 2 Choose a chart type. 3 Specify the data to present in the chart. 4 Format the chart.
