Using bookmarks When you define a bookmark, you specify a name that is used by applications such as BIRT Studio, or BIRT dashboards to identify the bookmarked content. A bookmark defines a position in a report design, and a hyperlink provides the connection that helps the user navigate to the bookmarked element. You use hyperlinks in conjunction with bookmarks, either within the same report, or in external reports stored in the Encyclopedia volume.
