This is an updated version of this DevShare (http://developer.act...-all-parameter/) with a database as a data source.

The attached design has two examples that illustrates changing the SQL statement in the beforeOpen of the Data Set, and includes another that uses a Filter of the Data Set.

The advantage of using the first method is that the result set returned from the database will be trimmed down.

Using the second method of the Filter will return all results to BIRT, and then BIRT will perform the filtering, which, typically, will be less efficient than the first method.
