Viewing data security rule assignments
The Data Security Rule manager provides a user interface to examine rule assignments. Two views are available: a list of categories that shows the rules assigned to each category and a list of rules that shows the categories assigned to each rule, as shown in Figure 11‑11.

Use these two interfaces to ensure that the set of data security rules for each category is correct.
Editing a data security rule
Use the Data Security Rule manager or the Outline view to edit a data security rule. In the Data Security Rule manager, select a rule and choose Edit. Use the expression builder to edit the expression for the rule in the same way as you did when creating the rule. If the rule is assigned to any categories, the changes to the rule take effect on those categories immediately.
Deleting a data security rule
Use the Data Security Rule manager or the Outline view to delete a data security rule. In the Data Security Rule manager, use the Assignments—Rules page to review the security rule assignments. If you are certain that the rule is no longer necessary, on the Rules page, select the rule and choose Remove. The rule is removed from all categories and columns to which it was assigned and the rule is removed from the data design.
If you use Outline to delete a data security rule that is assigned to any categories or columns, the message shown in Figure 11‑12 appears.

If you are certain that the rule is no longer necessary, choose Yes.
